Welcoming an Interim Leader

2023-03-21T19:45:13+00:00

Dear Network for Social Work Management Members, Eight months ago, we launched an exploration period for new organizational structure models for the Network. We have been exploring the feasibility of several models, including collaborating with university partners. However, we've found that rapid changes in social work education, and the challenges of a syndemic-altered environment for higher education, have made potential university partners reluctant to embark on new endeavors at this time. As a result, because we know that the mission of the Network is more important than ever, we are moving ahead to define a path forward for the organization. For [...]

PROTECT THE INALIENABLE RIGHT TO VOTE – AND OUR DEMOCRACY

2022-01-23T01:30:56+00:00

Scores of Americans of all races and nationalities have relentlessly fought for years – and even died – to protect our right to vote.  As a unified collective of nonprofit organizations, partners and affiliates nationwide, we firmly believe that every American’s vote is their voice. Any attempts to undermine voters’ access to the ballot box are contrary to foundational rights for everyone in the United States.  The sweeping – and ill-conceived – voting reform law recently signed in Georgia was rationalized by unfounded claims of widespread voter fraud in the state’s 2020 elections. Therefore, the law, simply stated, is untenable and un-American.    We stand [...]
