NSWM Webinar – Overcome Professional Road Blocks and Rediscover Career Satisfaction

January 17, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm PST

Free

INSTRUCTOR: Karen Carlucci

SUMMARY:

At the start of the new year we often find ourselves reflecting on where we are in our lives and careers. The day to day demand of our jobs can take so much of our attention that we can easily lose sight of what brought us to the field in the first place. On any career path we will eventually encounter obstacles that may create doubt in who we are as a person in our work, not only who we are as a professional. This is a prime opportunity to explore how the who we are and the what we do can be better aligned when they seem out of tune.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the importance of lining up personal values with professional goals and aspirations
  • Define what is meant by “core values”
  • Construct a personal mission statement
  • Recognize a motivating passion toward professional goals
  • Identify and implement practical steps in managing work-related transitions

MAIN GOAL:

The overarching goal of this webinar workshop is to reconcile the personal self with professional identity in order to achieve a higher degree of overall satisfaction. We will address common professional questions including:
  • I’ve come this far in my career, now what?
  • Am I really happy at work or is something missing?
  • Am I doing what I’m supposed to be doing or is this just a job?
  • Is this my definition of success?
