For readers unfamiliar with Tanager Place, would you please take a few moments to describe the agency.
Tanager Place provides a full continuum of care to find mental wellness. The mission of Tanager Place is to provide services for children and families that inspire, empower and heal. Programs are offered under three pillars: prevention, treatment and outreach. As a strength-based program, Tanager Place is committed to evidence-based practice and data-driven solutions. Our programs offer support to more than 3,000 children and families in Eastern Iowa annually. Tanager Place employs 250 professionals and the values of collaboration, optimism, inclusion, excellence and altruism guide our daily work.
What types of opportunities are available within Tanager Place in terms of employment opportunities for human service professionals?
Tanager Place has openings for direct care staff, therapists, and medical personnel. The website has current openings and career opportunities. A full on-boarding with on-going training and professional support is offered. Both full and part-time positions are available.
How is Tanager Place distinguished from others?
Tanager Place services focus on the needs of child and his/her family. Programs are nurturing and structured to ensure results. Distinguishable programming includes: Prevention services at our urban camp, mentoring opportunities, treatment for seriously mentally ill children, outpatient, case management services and skill based interventions. Expressive Arts is offered with sustainability guaranteed through the commitment of the Board of Directors and a generous donor community.
The Autism Treatment Center is second to none offering Applied Behavior Analysis both in a clinic and home setting. Our medical team is extraordinary and includes; Pediatric Child-Psychiatrists, Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, and Psychologist. The team is devoted to increasing healing opportunities for children and families. Tanager Place has a 140 year history in the community.
