Our Programs

Annual Conference
The Annual Management Conference is uniquely positioned to unite social work and human service leaders, international experts, researchers, and practitioners in an informative event with cutting-edge strategies. Typically, the conference is conducted on-the-ground at a university campus, but on occasions, we organize it virtually as the “Forward Thinking Summit” for reach and scale.

Graduate Certification
Our MSW program partners have mapped their curriculum to our Human Services Management Competencies. Students graduating from these programs can earn a Graduate Human Services Certification, which they can utilize for career enhancement.

Doctoral Scholars Institute
The Doctoral Scholars Institute (DSI) is for doctoral students who are conducting research in the areas of management and organizations. Participants will engage in discussions around their dissertation research. Post-doctoral fellows are also welcome to apply.
There is no cost to the DSI Institute. If your application is accepted, you will receive complimentary registration to the institute sponsored by Rutgers University School of Social Work.

Emerging Leaders Institute
As mid-level leaders in the human services and academic leadership space, vision is crucial as it acts as a roadmap for the future. In essence, it gives you purpose and direction. The Emerging Leaders Institute prepares professionals with the knowledge, values and skills needed for a career in leadership and management.

Certified Social Work Manager™
NSWM strongly believes in lifelong learning, which is especially needed in the complex workplace of leadership and management. Our unique certification program will prepare qualified candidates for success by offering a credential that can be renewed by attending focused training programs NSWM offers every year.

Executive Circle (Being reconstituted to launch in 2025)
As an executive leading the charge in your organization, you harness the power and the potential to do great things. At times, though, it can become a lonely job as we quickly forget how important it is to interact with others around us. Recent studies have noted that loneliness has become an under-diagnosed epidemic among rising CEOs. Top executives have reported feeling isolated, potentially hindering their ability to do their jobs. NSWM’s Executive Circle Program brings together a group of senior-level managers and executives who are interested in collaborating and sharing experiences in a safe space with other human services leaders from around the world.
