The Doctoral Scholars Institute (DSI) will be held on June 9th- 10th, 2022 9:00 am – 1:00 pm PDT/ noon- 4:00 pm EDT via a virtual Zoom event.

The Doctoral Scholars Institute (DSI) is for doctoral students who are conducting research in the areas of management and organizations. We are excited to once again offer this virtual pre-Summit event on Thursday & Friday, June 9-10 2022. Leading faculty and scholars will join with students to discuss current research in human services management and organizations; research-to-action collaborations with public and nonprofit organizations; publications and external funding; professional opportunities and more. Participants will engage in discussions about their dissertation research. Post-doctoral fellows are also welcome to apply.

Our discussants include management scholars and researchers, and editors from Human Services Organizations and the Journal of Community Practice.

DSI Program Chair

Allison Zippay, PhD is a professor at the Rutgers University School of Social Work and is the Director of the PhD in Social Work program. She also directs the Center for Leadership and Management, and teaches in the Management and Policy (MAP) concentration at the School of Social Work.  Her research focuses on community planning, supportive housing, and employment and income supports for low-income groups.
